"That's the worst of it," sighed Diana. "It's so annoying to hear the receivers going down whenever you ring anyone up. They say Mrs. Harmon Andrews insisted that their `phone should be put in their kitchen just so that she could listen whenever it rang and keep an eye on the dinner at the same time. Today, when you called me, I distinctly heard that queer clock of the Pyes' striking. So no doubt Josie or Gertie was listening."&#;

    The goodly objects which abroad they find
Neko Atsume creator Yutaka Takazaki is back with another immensely charming time-waster, Tabi Kaeru (which literally translates to Travel Frog).

The game starts out in the forest home of a little green frog. Your job is to prepare food and travel supplies for your amphibian pal before he sets out to explore Japan’s most famous sites, as well as its more pastoral destinations. The combination of food and supplies you pack affects the frog’s destination and the souvenirs he brings back.

While froggy’s out and about, he’ll often send back photographs of his adventures, and you’ll even sometimes find him accompanied by a friend (so far my frog has buddied up with a moth and a mouse).

The game is a lot more hands-off than Neko Atsume. Other than packing items for your frog, there’s not much else for you to do. It’s best enjoyed by checking in every few hours to see what your frog is up to. The game’s fine attention to detail will instantly charm you, though, as your frog sends back photographs of him hiking in the Japanese mountains donning a green cap, stopping by a cake shop, or seeking shelter from the rain beneath a leaf at the gates to a brilliant red shrine.
Tabi Kaeru’s available internationally on iOS and Android, though there is no English language version at the moment. Still, the game’s pretty straightforward to figure out.
Less than a week after the announcement of the Switch Lite, Nintendo has released confirmation of what appears to be the rumoured "Switch Pro". It takes the form of an updated model of the original console with a vastly improved battery life.

Depending on the software you’re playing, you can expect between 4.5-9.0 hours of handheld battery life. This is a huge upgrade over the 2.5-6.5 hours of battery you’d get from the original model. An example they give for the updated version is that you’ll now be able to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for around 5.5 hours without the need to charge, whereas the original model could only manage around 3 hours of play at best.

Outside of the improved battery life, the updated Switch looks pretty much identical to the original. It’s definitely not quite as ambitious as some had hoped, but the promise of playing 5 hours of uninterrupted Breath of the Wild is still tantalising.

You can expect this to retail for the same price as the original Switch (roughly £280), and it’ll be launching this August.

Alongside this announcement came news of new Joy-Cons. The latest colours include Blue/Neon Yellow and Neon Purple/Neon Orange. They’ll be priced at $79.99, which is pretty standard, and they’ll be available for purchase from the 4th of October.
Customize your #NintendoSwitch even more with these new Joy-Con colors – Blue/Neon Yellow and Neon Purple/Neon Orange. Available beginning 10/4 for $79.99. #MyWayToPlay pic.twitter.com/231TcnnTG2— Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) July 17, 2019The more cynical side of the team here (not pointing fingers or nothing) says that the updated version seems like a sneaky and transparent way for Nintendo to stop player homebrew exploits.

Reckon the improved battery life is enough to get you interested in buying this new model? As I said, the lack of other enhancements might be a little disappointing for some, but the battery concerns were probably the biggest thing a "Switch Pro" had to address, and this does just that.
Check out our news section to discover the latest, and greatest, games.
