QbQbQb comes with a risky pitch: "Rymdkapsel aesthetics, Gyro controls, Tetris gameplay."

That's a mix of quality puzzle games that might get our hopes up a little too much. But, Polish developer Rezoner is confident for a good reason. QbQbQb is a lot of fun.

With your finger, you spin a planet around in order to match coloured blocks upon its surface. It's like Tetris on a 2D circle, basically.

Sometimes, meteorites will fall towards your planet, and can be used to your advantage as they destroy a whole column of blocks upon contact.

The most satisfying and standout aspect of QbQbQb, though, is its musical experience.

Catchy electronic music with a jolly hop to it plays in the background. As the blocks land on your planet they add sounds to the tune.

The best moments are when, after matching some blocks, a small explosion of coloured particles whooshes out from your planet and toward outer space.

It's as if happiness has been illustrated in front of your eyes.

On top of its single player, which involves unlocking more planets, QbQbQb offers a two player mode for play on one screen.

You can purchase it for £1.99 / $2.99 on the App Store [buy] right now.

It's also available on Android (and has been for a while) at the same price on Google Play [buy].

For the PC version - and a browser demo - or to find out more about the game, check out its website.
Thanks Christian V. … Read more
